Thank you for your understanding. See you in July!
Accelaquarter Raceway first opened in 1963. The one-eighth mile track just north of Harrisburg on Illinois 34 has been a popular gathering place for gearheads.
After the 1985 racing season, the raceway closed down because of changes in insurance regulations. The track sat vacant for nearly 15 years and was revived for the first time in 2010.
Then, in 2012, Frank Sisk purchased the raceway, investing over a million dollars in ground up renovations.
Six hundred and fifty feet of track was added to support stopping safety for today’s SuperPro cars and each racing lane was widened by eight feet. Also, a new tower with suites was constructed, pit parking expanded, and spectator seating and parking upgraded, as well.
The Grand Reopening of the all new Accelaquarter Raceway was Saturday, August 31, 2013.
